As a Risk Adviser with Avant Mutual, Martin informs and guides doctors and their practices with a view to supporting safer practice and better patient outcomes. Outside of Avant, he delivers medical law lectures to Medical Students at Monash University, as well as helps deliver units in the Master of Public Health course.
Prior to commencing with Avant, Martin worked at the Coroners Court of Victoria, where he was responsible for assisting with the operational, educational, and implementation changes of the then new legislation. He also served on a number of health service governance boards, including Austin Health’s Board of Directors and Eastern Health’s Board of Directors; as well as various Performance and Professional Standards Panels for AHPRA.
