Based in Sydney and running a successful multispecialty practice for the last 5 years, Dr Bhavanishankar has also been a part of the telehealth workforce. He has a holistic, comprehensive and systemic approach to assessments and management of wide-ranging psychiatric disorders.
Dr Bhavanishankar has held a range of positions in crisis management teams, early intervention in adolescents and young adults, and rehabilitation services. He has trained in CBT, Mindfulness and meditation techniques.
He completed his MRCPsych in the United Kingdom in 2007, and subsequently, FRANZCP in Australia in 2012. He has held brief roles as the Acting Medical Director for review of crisis mental health services in Western Sydney. He also works for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
He liaises with allied health, general practitioners and family and careers to provide the best possible health outcomes and recovery.
